Join the IDA!
hank you for your interest in becoming a member of organized dentistry. The American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, and your local dental society in Iowa have a tripartite membership structure. This means that when you join the IDA, you also join the ADA and your local district. Membership runs on a calendar year, but you may join at any time throughout the year. Newly graduated dental students receive dues discounts for the first two years out of dental school.

How much are dues?
There are different dues amounts depending on member eligibility. For example, dentists who have recently graduated from dental school or who have retired are eligible for lower dues. Dues include the ADA, the IDA, and the local district society.

Already a member?
If you are already an IDA member, please login to the ADA.org website to pay your annual dues online. You will need your email address and ADA password. If you have never logged in before, you will have to create a password. If you have forgotten your password, click here to reset your password.
Can I request a dues waiver?
A full or partial waiver is available to a member in good standing whose circumstances have resulted in a significant financial hardship. Dentists earning a subsistence income while working full-time for a charitable organization may also apply for a dues waiver.

Are you retiring?
Notify the Iowa Dental Association of your retirement. Complete the Retirement Affidavit and submit to info@iowadental.org. If you prefer, you may print your affidavit and mail it to:
