In recognition of the upcoming Iowa Mission of Mercy (IMOM), Governor Reynolds has officially declared the first week in November as “Iowa Mission of Mercy Recognition Week”!
Since 2008 IMOM has provided 15,000 patients with $10 million in free dental care. We are beyond excited to have the 13th IMOM in Des Moines this week!
There will be a press conference on Thursday, November 3, at 1:00 PM to announce IMOM and provide details for patients. Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie has been invited to be part of the press conference.
We appreciate that nearly 1,250 volunteers have given their time and expertise to be part of IMOM. If you are unable to attend, you can still play a critical role in IMOM. We are still in need of dentists throughout Iowa to provide post-IMOM treatment. These follow-up services will be provided free of charge until December 5. Broadlawns has graciously offered to provide care for patients in the Des Moines metro. Patients will come from across Iowa to receive care at IMOM, and we need dentists from throughout the state to assist with post-IMOM care.
