Welcome to the Iowa Dental Association

The Iowa Dental Association (IDA) is the premier professional association representing dentists in the state of Iowa. In existence since 1863, the IDA is home to over 1,800 Iowa dentists, which represents approximately 80% of the licensed dentists in the state.  

All IDA member dentists are not only members of the IDA, but also the American Dental Association (ADA) and their local district society.

IDA’s mission is to encourage the improvement of the health of the public, to promote the art and science of dentistry, and to represent the interests of the members of the dental profession and the public which it serves.  

Free PPE for Dental Offices

The Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) announced the availability of free PPE to reduce the spread of COVID and other airborne viruses.
 
During the pandemic, the State of Iowa acquired PPE products for the protection and care of communities. These products are now available for free to eligible Iowa entities, including all forms of healthcare facilities, while supplies last. Please review products offered for free issue for more information, and complete the PPE Request Form if you would like to order.
 
All requests, allocation decisions and pick-up coordination will be handled by Iowa DAS. All PPE items will need to be picked up at the Urbandale warehouse location, at the recipient's expense. A local drop-site may be coordinated based on feasibility.
