Welcome to the Iowa Dental Association

The Iowa Dental Association (IDA) is the premier professional association representing dentists in the state of Iowa. In existence since 1863, the IDA is home to over 1,800 Iowa dentists, which represents approximately 80% of the licensed dentists in the state.

All IDA member dentists are not only members of the IDA, but also the American Dental Association (ADA) and their local district society.

IDA’s mission is to encourage the improvement of the health of the public, to promote the art and science of dentistry, and to represent the interests of the members of the dental profession and the public which it serves.

IDA Moves Legal Services to Dorsey & Whitney, LLP

IDA values the long-standing relationship with our contract attorneys Katie CownieAdam FreedBecki Brommel, and Mike Jenkins, all of whom have recently joined the Des Moines office of Dorsey & Whitney, LLP. The IDA Board has decided to move the association’s contract legal services from Brown Winick to Dorsey & Whitney in order to continue this valued relationship.
What does this mean for IDA members?
As a member benefit, IDA members will continue to receive 30 minutes of complimentary legal advice from the same attorneys. Only the law firm that they are associated with will change.
All existing clients of Katie, Adam, Becki, and Mike will soon receive a letter from Brown Winick, allowing them to decide if they would like to work with another attorney at Brown Winick or transfer their information to Dorsey & Whitney.
Those wishing to speak with Katie, Adam, Becki, or Mike should call the Dorsey & Whitney, LLP, Des Moines office at 515.283.1000.
