MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS OF THE IDA & ADA
Membership in the Iowa Dental Association and American Dental Association provides dentists with a united voice in the legislature, opportunity for professional and personal growth, and membership benefits that help them develop their practices and better serve the public.
Membership runs on a calendar year, and dues are due January 1. Newly graduated dental students are encouraged to join at membership discounts for the first four years out of dental school. All licensed dentists are invited to join today.
As an IDA member, you receive two regular publications: the Iowa Dental Journal, a quarterly publication containing features related to dentistry, and IDA Newsletter, another quarterly publication, containing features, news and information of recent happenings affecting the profession.
ADA publications include Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA) and ADA News. Members also have access to the "members only" section of the ADA and IDA web sites. The IDA site also contains a members-only "blog" site where members can easily access the most up-to-date legislative and regulatory information and can communicate with the IDA and other members. Sites include news and information on practice and profession issues, products and services, and consumer information.
The IDA Annual Session provides members and their staffs with an opportunity to learn about the latest management and scientific techniques in dentistry. See the events calendar for the most up-to-date information on the IDA annual session.
