Iowa Dental Foundation
Established in 1994 as a non-profit public foundation to benefit the general public. As a public foundation, the Iowa Dental Foundation (IDF) has no restrictions with regard to donors. Contributions can be in the form of real estate, personal property, cash, securities and memorial gifts. All gifts are tax deductible (in accordance with applicable limits) under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
Purposes include:
- Granting scholarships, to assist qualified persons to obtain instruction and training in dental studies and higher education.
- Undertake studies related to the practice of dentistry.
- Conduct programs and seminars.
- Promote research and education in areas of interest to the practice of dentistry.
Governance: Seven member Board of Directors
Awards: Made annually.
